Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Canvo ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Canvo is a personal AI assistant application for Android. The App provides a chat interface, interactive canvas, tool integrations, and optional Google account connectivity. Canvo operates on a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) model — you supply your own API keys for third-party AI providers.

2. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for obtaining and safeguarding your own API keys from third-party providers (e.g., OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI).
• You must comply with the terms of service of any third-party API provider you connect to through the App.
• You are responsible for all content you generate, send, or actions you instruct the AI agent to perform on your behalf (including emails and calendar events).
• You must not use the App for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose.

3. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canvo and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Actions taken by the AI agent on your behalf (emails sent, calendar events created, etc.)
• Costs incurred from third-party API usage
• Loss of data on your device
• Inaccurate or misleading AI responses

5. Third-Party Services

The App connects to third-party services based on your configuration:

• LLM Providers: Your prompts and conversation data are sent directly from your device to the provider you configure. Their terms and privacy policies govern that data.
• Google APIs: If you connect your Google account, Canvo accesses Calendar and Gmail APIs subject to your explicit permissions and toggles. Canvo's use of Google API data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

6. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to Canvo's design. We do not operate servers that store your data. All conversations, settings, and credentials are stored locally on your device. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The Canvo app, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes. Content you create using the App belongs to you.

8. Account Termination

Since Canvo does not require account creation and operates locally, you can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. This will remove all locally stored data.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an update to this page and, if necessary, through a notice within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
